"Having to hand the everlasting soapstone that has seen the birth of the world and mankind made us urge on developing nothing less than –the Best Stone Loudspeaker in the World."
The Powerful Rumble of Stone
Two billion years ago the world was very different. Mountain ranges ten kilometres high, seen today in the Himalayas or the Alps, rose to the sky in Eastern Finland. During millions of years the Karelian mountain range collapsed and below it the most special stone in the world was created. The soapstone, produced under supreme pressure, withstands variations in temperature and takes shape in skilful hands. Today first class soapstone is quar-ried at the foot of the mystic Koli (347 m), the highest hill of Eastern Finland.
Hand Made in Finland
The surrounding forests, lakes and mountains have made the Finns a distinctive and special people in a land, where friendship is earned and a promise trusted. Hand made and deliberately planned – that is what Finns are known for around the world.
With passion for high-class sound reproduction and stone design we entered into planning and test work that took several years. The correct dimensions and the properties of the driver as well as a constant frequency response and the wanted sensitivity reached their optimum, and the young designer Aki Hattunen gave the product its attractive look.
Compact Size for Versatile Use
The audibility range of man extends from about 20 Hz up to 20 kHz. Sound reproducing within that area calls for a lot of compromises with any loudspeaker system. The product development of Prime Impressive aimed at finding the optimum values for the powerful sound of the stone box without, even at high effects, loosing sensitivity and constant frequency response. There is a lot of demand for small-sized but high-quality two-channel reflex loudspeakers also as components of home theatres and high fidelity enthusiasts’ sound reproduction systems.
Thanks to its properties, magnetic protection as well as the ideal height of the listening base the Seas 6,5" driver, which was the winner of our listening tests, gives you more freedom of choice when placing loudspeakers in premises considered tricky. The design and the grounded steel foot of the base also thrive in modern interior design and public spaces. Custom-made equipment stands suited for designing are manufactured as well.
Tested Reproduction and Dynamics
"Dead as a stone" is saying in Finland. Stone signifies a revolutionary novelty in reproduction of electrically amplified sound. Here we finally have a loudspeaker material impervious to sound with always the same resonation – and reliable at all times. No wonder studio technicians and sound professionals around the world are eagerly testing the Prime Impressive loudspeakers.
The results of the impartial test performed by the Sound Laboratory at the Helsinki University of Technology are to be fetched at our dealers.
